KISS brought their 40th anniversary tour to Pittsburgh’s First Niagara Pavilion on August 24th 2014 and they did not disappoint. Opening the show was The Dead Daisies who started out the show with a nice blend of rock-n-roll reminiscent of bands like The Black Crowes. After their brief set Def Leppard came out with a bang. They did not miss a step.   Vocalist Joe Elliot and company delivered a strong set of their greatest hits, and they only get better with age.

Up next was the main event. KISS. What can be said that has not been said before. KISS delivers. They know what they do and they do it well. Some may argue that KISS is not the same without Ace and Peter, but KISS is bigger than just the four guys on stage. KISS has been around for 40 years, and KISS will be around for another 40.
